Retreats enable us to take a break from our daily routines. With Sugar Ridge 2 hours of north of Toronto, you can get away while still being close to home. Yoga Retreats allow us to travel with purpose, and give us the opportunity to rest in many different ways:
Sensory Rest: Unplug and sit in silence. This retreat is not a digital detox, but you can make it one if you want! While WiFi is available in the main building, there is limited WiFi that reaches the cabins.
Social Rest: Balance time alone and time with others, assess relationships that aren’t supportive or meaningful. If you’re more of an introvert, you can socialize with like-minded individuals in a supportive and safe environment. Similarly, if you’re more of an extrovert or surrounded by people most of the time, this is a great way to disconnect from that, too.
Emotional Rest: Socialize with like-minded individuals, journal, and self-reflect.
Physical Rest: Take a long nap, go for a walk in nature, read a book, take up gentle movement through soft styles of yoga offered by Karen all weekend.
Mental Rest: Meditate on your own or through a class facilitated by Karen, start or deepen your affirmations practice.
Creative Rest: Poetry, writing, play. You are welcome to bring any activities along to support your creative side.
